Lesbians, when men flirt with you-how do you deal with this?

I look femme, so guys don't assume I am gay because of that. ?????? They see me and cat-call or wolf-whistle or verbally flirt. So, how do you deal with this? I want to be able to turn them down politely.

Do you just say ';I'm flattered but not interested';? Or do you walk away? I'm so shy and afraid of confrontations that I just walk away, and I think this makes me look cold-hearted.

I tell him he's got the WRONG tools.

I sometimes offer to set him up with a gay man.

I tell him I have a wife.

I ask him if he'd like his lights knocked out.

...ALL of these things work for me! They need to back off when you shoot them down. Lesbians don't want men flirting with us any more than straight men want men hitting on them! You CAN'T just take it as a compliment because it only confuses some of them. Brush them off.Lesbians, when men flirt with you-how do you deal with this?
'I'm flattered but not interested' is actually a pretty great way of saying it. Once again we see someone who has answered their own question better than any of the answerers did...
Personally, I just make a joke of the situation and make sure I clearly throw in atleast a hint that I'm gay. It makes the situation a lot less awkward and gets your point across.
flirting is a compliment just take it all in and then wen u r bored turn them down you can say I'm taken

or just walk away

you don't have to explain everything to him just take the compliments and feel good about yourself
Take it as a compliment!! Just tell them you are seeing someone. You do not have to explain yourself to any one.
I ignore, sometimes I tell them I'm not interested because I am a lesbian, but I've seen that egg them on more. Just politely decline, tell them ur married or whatever.
i try to laugh it off...

i used to be bad about it, but now i can confidently state my preference and let them know they're barking up the wrong tree..and also that my preference isnt because i ';just havent had a real man';..blah blah blah..
Give a man a try, maybe you won't mind next time one flirts with you.
